COVID-19 Policy

Proof of at least one Covid-19 vaccine shot is required for all individuals who are inside of the yoga studio during business hours for a period of time lasting ten(10) minutes or longer. If you registered for a class or workshop and are unable to provide valid proof of vaccine your money will be refunded and will not be permitted to stay for class. Individuals who repeatedly sign up for class knowing they do not have or will not provide proof of vaccination will not be refunded.

Proof of vaccination includes a physical Covid-19 vaccination car or the NYC Excelsior QR code. Everyone will be asked to show a photo ID to prove that they are the individual whose name is listed on the proof of vaccination.

Proof of vaccination is only required one time. After that your Suryaside Yoga student profile will have an indicator that you have shown your proof of vaccine so that you are admitted to future classes and workshops.

You may show your proof of vaccination at the door or email us at both your proof of vaccination and your photo ID to vaxcheck@suryasideyoga.com. We strongly encourage you to email us your proof of vaccination in advance if it accessible to you, to keep the front desk moving. If you choose to email us your proof of vaccination we ask that you do it at least 24 hours before you plan to attend class.

If you are unable to get vaccinated due to a disability we are currently offering all of our in person classes online as well. We encourage folks to take advantage of the virtual classes as there are no exceptions to the vaccination policy under NYC law.

Refunds
All sales are final. However, if there is a legitimate reason a refund ought to be given please contact the studio directly via email.

Discounts for Students, Teacher, Children, Seniors, SAG/AFTRA AEA
Discounted pricing is for full-time students, seniors 65 & over, and SAG/AFTRA/Actors’ Equity members. Currently active verification documents/IDs must be shown at the time of every purchase. Available for purchase at the studio only!

At Suryaside Yoga, we believe that having a healthy community is just as important as a healthy individual. If you have time but not as much financial resources, ask us about the work-study program.

​Late Entry
No one will be admitted to class 10 minutes after it starts. The teacher reserves the right to ask late arrivals to enter after pranayama.

Maximum Capacity
No one will be admitted when the class is at a capacity of 30 people in class. We love that you all want to come to class but we have to consider everyone's safety.

Online Class Reservation
Online reservations are not required but an option for you to secure a spot.  For cancellations, classes reserved using the Webscheduler may be cancelled up until an hour before the class time. Your reserved spot is only held until 5 minutes before class time. At that time, we may offer your spot to another student and you will forfeit your class.

​Mat Storage
Mat storage is free for students with the monthly unlimited membership, not to be mistaken with the 3 week unlimited for which mat storage is not provided. 

Workshops
Workshops are special classes and are not included in any memberships or class packs. 

​A full refund or a credit will be given for cancellations with two weeks notice. To notify of cancellations, please email .

A credit of the full amount will be given to any cancellations within the two weeks prior to the workshop, including the day of the workshop. You must contact us to receive the credit. Your credit will be associated with your account and can be applied to any future purchase with Suryaside Yoga.

​Expiration / Class pack extension
In the case that you do not use up the entire class package within the amount of time given, there is a $5 class pack extension fee that will give you an additional month from the date of expiration.  (e.g. Expiration is 5/1/2015, the class pack extension would extend it 6/1/2015) PLEASE EMAIL US AFTER PURCHASE. THE EXTENSION DOES NOT GO INTO AFFECT AUTOMATICALLY, IT IS ADJUSTED MANUALLY BY US.  *not applicable for unlimited class packages.

Membership
The Monthly Unlimited Membership is a minimum of 3 months. For your convenience, memberships will be auto-billed each month. The membership can be placed on hold for a total of 1 time within the year for no more than 90 days. All sales are final for the membership, after the initial 3 months the membership can be cancelled at any time with 30-day prior notice. To notify of cancellation please email.

Sharing
It is a policy of ours to keep the class packages separate at Suryaside Yoga except for the 20 Class Package. To purchase the 20-class pack share, you must purchase it in the studio together with whom you are sharing the pack. It will be purchased under one person’s account and then we will set up the shared class pack in our system.
